Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Tonite Gonzalez-Collins is an Mexican-American sportscaster. She is an ESPN anchor on news, and she hosts SportsNation often. Her first job at ESPN in 2016. She is the daughter of the journalist on television Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins is a bilingual since the age of nine years old, a valuable talent that enabled her to get her first job as a production associate at Univision in Miami that gave her the opportunity to work alongside producers of national programming including Nuestra Belleza Latina, Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud and Primer Impacto. After this she was hired by the CBS station that is located in St. Petersburg employed her as a sport reporter. She moved to Rio Grande Valley in 2009 to work as a reporter on Fox2 News, the Spanish channels KNVO TV 48 Univision, as well as Fox2 News. She covered stories about immigration and drug trafficking within both Texas and Mexico. The duties of anchoring for sports or weather were often requested. Later, she was the anchor and reporter for Univision Dallas' Deportes 23. In the following years, she was given larger responsibilities. She was a reporter for The Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS World Series, the Dallas Cowboys as well as the NBA Postseason and the Finals FC Dallas FC Dallas Stars. Besides this, she produced the Univision 23 local sports show Accion Deportiva Extra on which she served as the anchor. The anchor was also the anchor for sports on Despierta America Deportes morning show. In addition, she served as a sports anchor for Primer Impacto, a magazine program on the UniMas Network and Contacto Deportivo. Antonietta's parents come of Veracruz Mexico. They eventually moved towards Mexico City, where Antonietta Collins was born on the month of November in 1985. She is more mature than her younger sister. The family left in 1992 Mexico in search of the US and relocated to Miami. They divorced shortly thereafter and her mother married one of the naval architects named Fabio Fajardo who passed away of kidney cancer in 2006. The summer of 2006, she spent one week with her sibling in Canton Ohio. The older Collins girl was working there. Antonietta was an incoming senior in high school and had a clear idea of her professional goals. She visited Mount Union University in order to see if it was a good fit for her. It was discovered that she was a fan of the campus and also that the university had the degree she was looking for. When she completed her high school studies, she was accepted into the university to study media studies. The professor she had was Mark Bergmann, who managed WRMU FM, and was participant in her class developed a lasting relationship with her. His enthusiasm for journalism and her self-confidence prompted her. Herself was determined to achieve his expectations and never disappoint him.
